I was not into Japanese food before, but my forever food and travel buddy had consistently exposed and taught me to appreciate and then now, Loved,  Japanese foods. I am creating now a series post that I am dedicating to the Japanese restaurants and Japanese foods that I have been to and have eaten.  I am collectively calling it:  SOMETHING JAPANESE First of the series that I am featuring is RAI RAI KEN .  Here is a brief history of the success of Rai Rai Ken: It was in 1992 when Mr. Benjamin Garcia, the President & CEO of Rai Rai Ken, decided to put up his own raetaurant at Bautista St. in Makati City.  He called it Maste Chow.  It was not even a full-pledged restaurant.  It was more of a "karinderya" (small eatery) that sold Tapsilog to the office workers in the area.  Later, they started offering Ramen which becamce a big break and gave birth to the restaurant's name - Rai Rai Ken. HISTORY OF BIGBY'S The Bigby’s Café Concept was first introduced in the city of Cagayan de Oro on December 8, 1998. Its creators came up with an idea of creating an atmosphere fit for an adventure into the different cuisines of the world. The menu, the interior design and service style were created to position the concept midway between fine dining and fast-casual dining. This format has developed into the Bigby’s Café and Restaurant System After hours of malling at SM City Cebu, I brought my family to Bigby's for dinner and here's what we ordered. The starter - BLOSSOMING SPINACH DIP  It is a sheesy-gooey spinach dip served with Melba toast for Php 199.00  This appetizer is indeed a taste teaser, the family loved the spinach dip, we tasted perfection in every swallow.  My rating (family's rating as well) is 10 of 10!  Kudos to the brain of this recipe, to the Chef behind this dish, well-done!   The salad - ZEN HIGH SALAD I

Bohol is another island in the Philippines where I frequent visiting since it is my parents' hometown.  And on our last visit there, see also HERE , I had the best chance to taste the yummy treats from different bread shops that are uniquely Bohol.  First stop, OUR DELI BREAD .   Our Deli Bread is a chain bakeshop that can only be found in Bohol.  There are several branches, strategically located in various urbanized municipalities in Bohol like Tubigon, Sagbayan, Valencia, Tagbilaran City and a lot more to mention.  I love how the bread shop daintily displayed their goodies.  Well-organized and clean.  Aside from buying the famous morning bread of the Philippines, we call Pandesal, we took home this cute Gingerbread and my favorite Yoyo bread.   My ratings for the gingerbread is 7 of 10, and for the Yoyo bread is 8 of 10.  Next stop is JM FANNY'S BAKESHOP located in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. f.y.i - Tagbilaran City is the only city and th
